Kintaro was very strong. He wore a red haragake with the symbol for gold - kin - on the front.
All the animals liked Kintaro.
One day Kintaro wrestled a bear - and won !
Kintaro pushed over a tree to make a bridge across the river.
A great samurai saw this incredible strength and asked Kintaro to join his group.
Kintaro gew up to become a powerful warrior and fought an oni on Mt Oe. When he was grown up, he went back for his mother, and they lived happily ever after..
